Christmas time means decorating, and my college roommates may remember my love of holiday decorating. Now that we are in the city, I was so excited to created our own "When Harry Met Sally" moment and buy a live tree from the Manhattan street!

A little tree market is on the sidewalk right outside the park where Jackson and Margo love to play - just one block away. We went with my mom and once again experienced Manhattan sticker shock! I'm almost embarrassed to say how much they cost, but the 7 footer (that we did NOT buy) was about $135.00. This is a far cry from cutting them down ourself in the Hamilton woods!

Even so, our slightly cheaper tree is gorgeous! Jackson was a big help in the delivery and decorating process. Margo, of course, enjoys playing with and replacing the ornaments.

Hey Matt! Beautiful family and great to catch up with you. I trust things are well and have fun in the big apple this Christmas! 135 bones for a tree? OUCH!
Hey Steensma Family!
I always love looking at your blog and checking in on all of you...I make sure to pass it along to your RVO family. I thought of this most recent blog with the price of Christmas trees on my first trip to NYC---a 5 foot tree cost $95-wow! And then you have to get it home--how did you guys do that????
I hope you all are doing well. We think of you often here in GR. If you get a visit home anytime, please stop by!
Take Care!
Missy
