Home Sweet Home

We have lived in NYC for just over a week and I already have more than five blisters on my feet.  To get anywhere takes forever, especially with two children, and a stroller!  Culture shock is in full effect - much needed toilet paper was only $7.00 for 6 rolls.  We are under the spare a square program now.  Food in general is a big shock.  Milk at $5.00 a gallon, O.J. at $4.50...  Fortunately we found a Costco just over the river and stocked up before mom and dad took our car back home.  Do you think a taxi would wait while I shop?

We are slowly adjusting.  I think the move is affecting Jackson more than I anticipated.  He asks me daily when we are going back to Michigan.  He states, "We do not live in New York all day!"  Days must be very long when you are 4.  I have some pictures of our apartment, but am having difficulty uploading them to the blog - keep watching!
